On the right is the very rare "Syrup". The name "Rubina Verde" means Ruby Green. This particular Green is actually Vaseline in Color.

1925 RUBINA. Rubina was introduced in 1925 and was apparently produced for a relatively short period of time. Normally, this multi-colored glass will shade from red at each end to green and then to blue in the middle. Since the red and green colors we achieved by reheating, there will be considerable variation in the amount of each color.

The glass used in the production of Rubina Verde was "Heat Sensative" Vaseline Glass, and "Heat Sensative" clear "Flint Glass". That means that real Gold was used in the batch when the Vaseline Glass was made in in the furnace and Phosphate was added to the Clear Glass in the furnace. The process required two trips to the Glory Hole to produce.
